VROOM.DO is a privately owned car rental company based in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. We operate a fleet of 15 modern vehicles, serve guests arriving at Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ), and deliver cars directly to hotel entrances and airport terminal exits across the Bávaro and Punta Cana area.
We are not a franchise. We are not a broker. Every vehicle in our fleet is owned by the company, maintained at official dealerships, and covered by full insurance through MAPFRE — one of the most established insurance providers in the Dominican Republic. We know this market from the inside, and we built VROOM.DO to operate the way we always wished rental companies would.
From five cars to a company, in one low season
In February 2024, Alexander and Karyna purchased the first five vehicles with a straightforward plan: rent them through established local partners and generate steady returns from a market they knew well.
The arrangement worked on paper. In practice, it didn't. The cars were not being maintained properly. Between rentals, the vehicles were sitting dirty, with deferred service and no real accountability for their condition. For two people who had spent years in high-volume tourism — where the details either work or everything falls apart — watching their investment deteriorate due to negligence was not something they were willing to accept.
They pulled the vehicles from the partner arrangement and decided to handle everything themselves.
The timing was not ideal. May 2024 — the month they chose to launch independently — is the beginning of the low season in Punta Cana. Their former partner was direct about it: the cars won't rent well this time of year. Alexander and Karyna took that as a challenge rather than a warning.
Within two weeks, the website was live and social media channels were active. Every single vehicle was rented. The founders made the decision to expand the fleet before the first month was over.
VROOM.DO SRL was formally incorporated on May 20, 2024. What started as an investment has become a company with over 1,000 guests served, 100+ independent reviews, and a 4.9 average rating.

Alexander has lived and worked in the Dominican Republic for nearly 20 years. His background is in tourism and destination management — at operational scale, running programs that served up to 7,000 international guests per month. That experience taught him something specific: what separates a smooth guest experience from a frustrating one is almost never the big things. It's the details that were either handled or weren't.
He brought that operational precision to VROOM.DO. The maintenance schedule, the insurance structure, the delivery logistics, the response times — these are not afterthoughts. They are the product.

Karyna's background spans tourism, brand building, and customer communication across multiple markets and countries. She is responsible for how VROOM.DO presents itself — which means the pricing transparency, the clarity of the booking process, and the tone of every message the company sends reflects her standards.
Between them, Alexander and Karyna bring over 20 years of combined experience in Dominican Republic tourism, and travel experience across approximately 30 countries. They know what good service looks like because they have experienced it — and the opposite — many times over.

Every VROOM.DO rental includes comprehensive insurance through MAPFRE, plus Casa del Conductor coverage — something most rental companies in Punta Cana do not provide. It is a licensed facility that offers an alternative to standard detention for drivers involved in road incidents while a case is processed, with air conditioning, WiFi, a private bathroom and a comfortable bed. Our fleet averages approximately two years old. All maintenance is performed exclusively at official dealerships — not independent workshops. Every vehicle is professionally detailed between rentals and kept smoke-free. We plan to renew the fleet on a three-year cycle, a deliberate investment in consistency rather than the cheapest approach available.
Airport and Hotel Delivery
We deliver vehicles directly to Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) terminal exits and to hotels throughout the Bávaro and Punta Cana area. There is no shuttle bus to an off-site lot and no secondary queue after a long flight. Your car is there when you land.
